Alex's glue fell off overnight

I'm not happy about it. I just wasn't ready, i.e. I don't feel like his cut is ready yet, to have it off.

Although, I must say, it looks smaller than I remembered, which is great- I'm just worried about it getting infected!!!

Tell me if I am 1) insane or 2) justified.

insane. ?kidding. ?:) ?i'd think if it fell off, and it's not bleeding, than it's ok. ?facial cuts usually heal pretty quickly, and kids heal SUPER quick. ?if you are worried about it, you could always slap on some neosporin and a regular bandaid - at least when he's playing outside or whatever.

I'm just comparing it to my c scar...and how long the glue was on there. Alex "burrows" constantly and I think that contributed to it coming off so early. It's not bleeding but it's still red. DH did put neosporin in it this AM, but I am fresh out of bandaids at the moment, so we're letting it air out, I guess.

Meh. I'm just nervous- I love his face and I don't want this to get any worse than it already is.

yeah...i wouldn't compare it to the incision that went all the way through all the layers of your skin and rearranged your insides. ???i'm sure he (and his pretty little face) will be fine!

BTW, did you ever make it to the Candia waterpark? I don't think we're going to make it this year now, but it would be good info for next year.

crap!!!! ?it was rescheduled AGAIN due to storms and i just checked the email and it was the 20th, we missed it!! arrggghhhhh

have you heard about the new sprinkler park in derry? ?free, might be something good to check out, i have heard it's good for the little guys?

I haven't, but that sounds interesting. I saw so many cute water toys along the sprinkler idea this summer, but not having our OWN yard, I can't do it. Maybe next summer? Here's hoping!

I wish there was a straight shot from here to Derry. Ugh. Stupid river.

I would say that its ok.  It will be red, but that will fade and so will the scar.  I would just keep an eye on it.  If it continues to be red, warm, oozy or ***... then you know its infected!  = )
