I'd really like to follow some your blogs, but I don't currently have a blog of my own.

How do I follow a blog? 

Do I have to have my own blog/account to follow?

I know for blogs like mine (Wordpress) there is a function for email subscription.  If you click on my blog you'll see it on the right. You can enter your email and it will send you an email everytime I blog something.

For Blogger (google's version) if you have a gmail account you can "follow" Blogger blogs and it keeps a running list of your blogs when you sign in to blogspot.com.  But you don't need to have your own blog to do it, just a google account.

I follow a lot of blogs through Google Reader.  Again, you have to have a google account, but it's super easy.  Just sign in, and any of the blogs you have listed will show up if there's new posts.  Love love love google reader.  You don't have to constantly keep checking to see if there's new posts.

I have a gmail account through them, and I tried reader last night but when I searched for blogs they didn't come up. What do I do?!

Have you followed any blogs?  You need to go into the blog you want to follow and click the follow button so it can add it to your subscriptions list.

Alright, so, I clicked "follow" on some blogs.  When I go to my gmail screen, up at the top there is a link for Reader.  When I click it, it does not list any of the blogs I clicked "follow" on.  So I clicked follow on a bunch of blogs, and now I can't remember any of them...

Maybe go to blogger on Google. I used to follow blogs before I had my own and it was all on there.

Sorry, Tay... I just saw this.

Sign into Google Reader,
Towards the top, there's an +Add a subscription button.
Click on that & it'll open up a little window. 
Paste the url of any blog that you want to keep up on there.
They'll show up in bold when there's something new posted

Also, if you "follow" (as in you clicked a link on their blog that said Follow Me) a blogger blog, it will show up in a "Blogs I'm Following" tab.
