Home Inspector?

Can anyone recommend a Home Inspector in the Manchester Area?  We had an offer accepted to purchase a house and now need an inspection and feel more comfortable with a reccomendation that just randomly picking someone out of the phone book!

We are buying a two family if that helps!  TIA

Re: Home Inspector?

  • I bought my last home over 10 yrs ago, so I can't help you with a specific referral. I do remember my realtor recommended two inspectors and we picked one of them. Did you ask your realtor? Or your bank loan officer/originator? Either of them would have a list of people they have worked with.
  • Bought in Nashua last fall and used:

    HINET Home Inspection - (603) 880-8100.

We got the report right away before the guy even left, radon results came a few days after.

For reference, our inspection was for a single family house using an FHA loan. Home inspection was $299. Radon testing was $89.

  • Thanks!  We are acting as our own realtor so no recommendations, and our LO doesn't recommend any for obvious reasons.

     Thanks for the suggestions!

  • We also used Hinet. They did a great job.

Just a PSA that we learned over the weekend. Terminix will do a bug inspection for free on a potential home. It's something we wish we did. 11 months after purchasing, we find we have at least 5 years worth of termites/damage that wasn't disclosed.

We are also in a similar situation.  We bought a house last fall and a few weeks ago discovered termites in the yard.  We called Terminix to come an have a look and while they were in they yard there was also some damage to the house...wish we had check it out prior!

  • Dave Roth was recommended from our agent.  He was great. Very thorough, we were 1st time buyers and he explained everything and gave us a binder with all of his notes to review after the inspection.

     Good Luck
