Introducing - Belle's post inspired me!

I am very new to this board, but after reading Belle's post, I thought this was a good of time as any to introduce myself & say hello.  I am from NOLA & live on the Southshore.  I got married in Hawaii so I never really spent anytime on the NOLA knot (not sure if any of your have transferred over here).

I will try to check out this board more often & hopefully we can get a little more action over here!

I am excited...a little nervous, but definitely excited!  This is my first.  Do you have any kids?

Aww I'm sure it's normal to be nervous, especially for your first! I don't have any kids of my own. I do work with kids though. I've been a nanny several times and worked in a few daycares. I teach preschool now but I'm not sure if I'll do that or nanny when we move. I think you'll be a-ok I like to think taking care of a baby just comes naturally and you'll know what to do Do you have family in the area to help when he/she gets here?

I do have a lot of family in the area.  I am from here & we are definitely a lot more spread out since the storm, but still close enough to get the job done.

Good luck finding the right job.  I know it is kind of scary figuring out a new place!
