I'm hosting a baby shower in about a month and I'm planning on doing a candy buffet as a favor. The shower is Dr. Seuss themed so I'd like to have sweedish fish, primary colored jelly beans, lollipops, etc. My question is where to buy the candy. I checked Costco last time I was there and didn't find anything. I don't know of any candy shops in the area other than gourmet chocolate places, and that's not what I'm going for.
Any suggestions for online places to purchase it? Do they tend to be a better deal than local stores in your area?
I'd also love suggestions for other types of candy that would fit with the theme. This is my first time setting one of these up.
Thanks!
Re: Candy Buffet
There is a local candy store in my area that sells all of the stuff you mentioned. Perhaps looking for a local place in your area.
Have you tried Wal-Mart? Or do you have a Big Lots nearby?
I think the problem with internet shopping might be high shipping costs b/c candy can be heavy. GL!
Oriental Trading is great for the multicolored round lolli's these are 1 1/2 inches round.

as well as tons of other candy.
Just pay attention to individual candy measurements and quantities so you are not disappointed.
Ohh Can you e-mail me: I'm hosting a Dr Suess shower too in May and I'd love to swap ideas with you.
