Way too quiet...April Fool's Poll
What's the funniest April Fool's joke you have ever played on anyone or been victim to?
Re: Way too quiet...April Fool's Poll
I can't recall. In fact, I don't think anyone plays this anymore, or do they? On my end, it's been years since anyone that I know would pull a prank on someone.
A little back story: We are flying down to OC tomorrow for the weekend. Saturday is E's birthday so we are going to do dinner and drinks a t my parents house. My dad just emailed me this morning to tell me that my Grandma asked if we could combine my hubs birthday and my moms brother (notice I didn't say uncle) because Moms brother can't come to Easter brunch. I completely and totally hate my moms brother because of some incidences that him and I have had in the past. I do not acknowledge him as being alive at family functions either. Anyway so Dad tells me they will be there at the house for dinner and hopefully they will leave early. I through a huge fit, I think fire was blowing from my nose and I wrote back this nasty email to which he replied with " April Fools."
So then I said "So is he really not coming to Easter" to which he replied with "April fools on that too because he will be there in the flesh" HMPH.
I stopped pulling April fools pranks. Apparently I take it too far. My mom is still mad at the joke I pulled on her over 10 years ago. My parents were divorced at the time and I told her I was dating my dads friend and that my dad approved. The guy was a total loser boozer.
Ya, she didn't think that was funny.
along similar lines, they did a prank when I was a freshman in college saying the world's largest mall had just opened in anahaim, somewhere off of the 57, you can't miss it, blah blah. I went to school at chapman, so close by, and had I not had to go to work after class, I would have totally driven up and down the 57 looking for that damn "mall."
yes, gullible is my middle name.
I remember this!! I totally bought it too so you are NOT alone in gullibleland!
