Easter plans?

Do you do anything special for Easter?

We haven't done anything since we moved out here. In fact, I always forget Easter is coming until I see posts on FB or whatnot. Maybe I'll make pierogies. Or we'll partake in the awesome Las Brisas brunch.

Re: Easter plans?

  • We didn't realize it was Easter...we're going to Vegas that day. Oops.

  • We usually get together with family. I'll go to my mom's for brunch and have a little easter egg hunt for my daughter. Then she goes with her dad and they'll do a huge Easter celebration with his family (more like a family reunion... 100 people, swimming, tons of food, huge egg hunt). The first year of holidays after a divorce suck. I'm more bummed about missing seeing my daughter do these things though. Oh well, we'll make our own memories/ traditions.
  • The usual...Church, then late lunch with the family.

  • For me, if it were not for the kids, I would not really celebrate.  But, because of the kids, we are going to a park with friends and their kids. We plan to have a picnic and somehow throw an easter egg hunt.  I am actually quite excited about this.  Should be fun.

  • I've been celebrating all week by collecting Easter Eggs.
  • None to speak of. I love Jesus and all but I am not a fan of sunrise church services followed by cholesterol filled brunch. I think I'll celebrate with a facial and some reading on the beach.

  • I haven't done anything Easter related with my family in over a decade. My parents are always out of the country and the rest of us are not exactly organizers so I was quite surprise to learn that Easter is this Sunday.

This year I am doing the right thing though and taking SO to my grandparent's place to catch up and then heading to his house for family Easter dinner. I hope the Easter Bunny brings me something good.
