Hi! Thanks so much for the hair salon rec; it's so close and the website looks good, so I'll certainly check them out. Cannot possibly go worse than Hair Cuttery. 
Where from Northern CA did you move? DH and I lived in Palo Alto for a few years; we really miss being there! Do you live close to the Waterford Lakes area, then? Orlando is definitely strange; not sure how well we like it even after 8 months here.

I feel your pain. We've been here actually since May of last year and we just can't seem to enjoy it here. We decided last month that we were going to make the best of it and we have found many things to do and our outlook of the area is greatly improving!
We have lived in Atlanta, San Francisco, Livermore, Sacramento, Orange County (SoCal), and now Orlando since 2005. lol. DH's company just relocated and laid off people and for once, we are staying where we are. We live near Waterford Lakes.
What do you guys like to do for fun? Where did you live in Atlanta?
Hey! Sorry I hadn't responded sooner; work is insane at the moment (I work at UCF), etc., etc. We live off of Mark Twain Blvd; do you know where that is? I was actually born and raised in Atlanta; lived near Emory the first 10 years and now my folks are in Sandy Springs. DH and I moved from Palo Alto to Atlanta in 2004 so I could start my current degree, and we still own a house in East Cobb, almost at the border of Marietta and Roswell.
Fun? What's that?
Well, we have a toddler so most of our 'down' time is spent catching up on chores (DH travels most weeks for work, unfortunately) and seeing her and each other, but tomorrow (!!!) we're going to Magic Kingdom (not huge WDW fans but some friends are going and we got those resident passes they were offering, figured why not) and we do like to explore various nearby towns like Winter Park (they have a GREAT dog park there) and get to a beach for the day whenever we can. Hope you check in and read this; would love to meet you all sometime if you're interested! Sounds like you all have really found a way to enjoy things here; that'd be nice to do.
