flower question

what are the best type of flowers that don't take much to grow... that come back every year... and can be in a shady, some sun area?

Re: flower question

  • Look into hardy perennials for your area of the country. I'm starting seeds for black eyed susans, purple coneflowers, bleeding hearts and salvias. I also have daffodill, crocus and grape muscari bulbs. I'd like to get some day lily and iris bulbs, as well.
  • Irises and daffodils - irises like more sun but they do well anywhere with zero maintenance. Daffodils only bloom in the early spring but they're zero maintenance as well.
