How much do you think it would cost to reupholster church pews?
I was just googling around and know it can be done, but have seen nothing regarding prices. I would have maybe 6 to re-do for a strange project. Any ideas? I've never really done reupholstering for regular chairs, so I really have no idea what that typically costs.
Re: How much do you think it would cost to reupholster church pews?
It depends on a few factors- the cost of the fabric being used, if the foam needs to be replaced, the size, your location, etc.
I think as long as you pick a fabric that is not too $$, say under $40 a Yd. then it would be in the hundreds.
The only experience I have is I had a 4' X 8' 'bed' upholstered for our day bed, it was $600 and that induced mattress grade foam, labor, and the fabric.
HTH!
I honestly have no idea how long your church pews are and therefore can't even begin to guess how much it would cost.
I have a 9 ft long sofa I had reupholstered and not including fabric, but including new foam for seat and back cushions it was $800 to have it reupholstered. The cushions all have welting (if your pew cushions don't have welting it would cost less.)
I just had a chair reupholstered using leather, the labor and foam cost for it was a little more than $400 (I provided the leather hides.) Leather costs more to work with. A solid fabric w/ no "repeat" would be the cheapest in terms of labor, a pattern or print that would need to be lined up would cost more. so on and so forth.
