I am looking to landscape my front yard this spring, and I was wondering about possibly ordering a few plants online. Has anyone ever done this before? Which online nursery did you order from and how was the quality of the plants when you received them? Thanks!
Re: Online Nurseries
I've ordered from Springhill--plants were good (they're small; size is clearly stated in catalog) and they replaced anything that died, no questions asked. Prices good.
I've ordered from Wayside Gardens--larger plants, good health, will also replace things that die. MUCH more expensive; prices went up this year to the point that I'm not ordering from them.
I've placed an order with Park Seeds but haven't received anything yet, so I can't comment. Prices are resonable.
Yesterday I received a catalog from Richard Owen Nursery. The prices are incredibly cheap; so cheap that I'm going to have to order some stuff just to see what it's like. They have a one-year guarantee if you have the original shipping label.
Thanks for the suggestions! I was checking out Spring Hill Nursery and thought they looked pretty good. I will check out the others you mentioned too. Thank you!
