long shot, but any horsey girls in CLT?
I know this is sort of a long shot, but I am wondering if any of you are into horse back riding and can recommend a place that gives lessons in Charlotte. I haven't ridden in several years and I am looking for a trainer/barn where I can tune up my skills. I would like a place that has all adult groups or private lessons and I would need a lesson horse to ride. I'm looking for dressage or hunter/jumper lessons. Anyone know of any barns or trainers in the South Meck/York County area?
Re: long shot, but any horsey girls in CLT?
If you're willing to drive about 30 mins or so you could try out 'Why Not An American Ark'. Its an amazing barn! I used to work there all through middle / highschool and they're also close neighbors to my parents
I know they've got a couple of good trainers.
Also, try Latta Plantation. I used to trail ride there, but I don't know if they do lessons.
I know there are a lot more, but can't recall at the moment. Plus, Im no long in CLT, but in RDU. Try googling or even craigslisting.
HTH!
Hi! I agree with the other post about the Arc in Monroe-area. Also, a very short distance away from the Arc is a farm called Belle Terre. There is a 16-year old Flea Bitten Arab gelding for sale there. I've been riding him for 2 years. He aims to please and can be fiesty once in a while. Message me if you want to know more about him! He was offered to me for a fair price but my husband and I are relocating to Raleigh and we can't afford caring for our own horse. I love that horse though. : ) He has many miles on him in NATRC (North American Trail Riding Conference) competitive trail riding if that's something you enjoy as well!
Great luck!
