Our Project This Week!

We got a "Bagster" and we're cleaning out the house/yard!  The previous owner left behind a bunch of nasty area rugs, broken furniture, and a sh!t pile in the back of the yard (buried in snow when DH bought the house).  We've been living with this crud piled in the basement and garage for 4 years now b/c we were too lazy to haul it to the dump.

We're also sorting and tossing the junk that DH brought from his first house with his ex-wife.  He hasn't been in the tubs since 2003...so he figures that most of it is useless to us now.

Let the nesting begin!

Re: Our Project This Week!

  • What a trip!  I've never even seen this before.  How handy.

    Happy decluttering!

  • I've never seen this before either.  So you just put it out by the street when you are done? Or do you guys have to haul it off?

    Happy nesting!

  • I love doing projects like that!!! Fun! I'm in love with this bagster idea, where the heck did you get it?
  • Ooo, that sounds nice and cleansing. I love purging my apartment of old stuff.
  • The Bagster thing is a Waste Management product in our area.

You buy the bag for $25 at Home Depot/Ace/Menards (3 cubic yards, holds 3,300 pounds, made of a tarp-like material), fill it in your front yard/driveway, and then call WM for a pickup.  The pickup costs another $100.  So $125 total for a dumpster is pretty ok - especially since we can take as long as we want to fill it up.

  • OMG, this looks awesome!  Tossing stuff out is one my favorites things, I'm kinda jealous. .Embarrassed

  • I don't think we have anything like that in our area.  It sounds like a great thing, though!  I love getting rid of crap and clutter...it's so freeing!  Happy Nesting!
