To celebrate reaching the 37 week mark, I busted out the full-length mirror, cleaned off all the dust from it, and snapped some shots of my bump.
And here's a bonus pic from my shower last weekend. Curious George cake that my friends made for us!
Re: Finally, a bump pic...

Oh Lisa, you are so thin ... I am jealous. I hope the next time around (if there is a next time around), I manage to stay half as thin as you are while PG! You look TERRIFIC!
& the cake is adorable. You and your friends are so talented!

You are all belly, just like I imagined! I feel like I was MUCH bigger than that at 35 weeks when I gave birth! You are completely adorable!

First: IT'S ABOUT TIME.
Second: my enormous ass and I hate you and your skinny thighs.
OK just kidding on the second one, but seriously, you look FAB! And so does the Curious George cake.
I had to do it before you left to go have the pirate bebehs. Or else I'd never hear the end of it!
We still have a few more things to get but for the most part, if mini John comes early, we should be ready for him. We still have our 'Oh crap, we're gonna be parents. What have we gotten ourselves into?' moment at some point every day though, lol. I'm actually washing all of his clothes and blankets right now.
My bag for the hospital is semi-packed, it's just missing the stuff that I use on a daily basis.
Damn straight.
Also, I had to laugh at the "Oh crap, we're gonna be parents..." thing. I think this every.single.day. And usually say it to Ben every day too, lol. I know it will sound stupid, but it's like the realization is finally hitting me that at the end of this, we're going to be bringing home two little people that we'll have to care for...and wtf do we know about parenting?!?
I remember mentioning to Ryan at one point, "We barely remember to feed ourselves, how the hell will we remember to feed someone else?!" He laughed and said "well I'm sure we'll feed her but I wonder if we'll still forget to feed ourselves". We both laughed. There are days STILL that we wonder if we are doing this parenting thing "right"... it's hard work no joke but it's SO worth it. Every time I hear her giggle or see her smiling face or feel her tiny hand on my face, I remember why I want to do this again!

Jaime, I'm still wondering this myself! It just seems like this has crept up on us!
You look great!
Congrats!
