TTT

I hope no one minds me starting this as I sit here waiting for this baby to do something :-p

Re: TTT

  • 1. Still waiting.

    2. My cervix is 80% effaced and I'm 1cm dilated.  I could stay that way for another week but at least I know my body is doing something.  And the dr also said that because my body is doing something, if we have to do an induction I've got the best case senario going in.

    3. My parents arrived here last night.  I'm not sure what to do with them today.

    4. I feel like everyone is watching me waiting for something to happen.  Of course we are waiting, but I don't like the watching part.

    5.  I spent all day yesterday cleaning the house.  K said it was nesting.  I said it was because my parents were coming.

    6. K might miss her conference and I feel horrible about that (yes, I know it's not my fault, but I can still feel bad).

    7.  It is odd not working.  I called twice yesterday and checked my work email too.  I'm going to worry about my event until it's over and done.

    8. Sorry that my TTT is mostly pregnany related.

    9. Even though it's raining outside I'm thinking of getting ice-cream later.

    10. Time to go put away the clean dishes (damn, nesting instinctWink)

  • 1) I'm barely working this month between our mini vaca and everyone's doctor appointments.

    2)  Speaking of doc appointments, we have two today...one I'm quite nervous/excited for. the other I just pray Sprout is on his best behavior.

    3) I miss chatting with everyone on this board.

    4) I had no idea it was supposed to rain today

    5) I've got bio mama drama

    6) leaving for newport tomorrow! still havent started packing!

    7) I hope rosebud doesn't scream the whole drive

    8) Easter was nice

    9) Sprout passed up candy, ice cream cake, and cookies in favor of Annie's organic fruit snacks.  I was so proud of his choice

    10) I'm struggling with the fact that I have no idea what my life will look like a year from now.  So many big things are out of my control and its an unusually difficult feeling.

Have a great time!! I'm so jealous!!  I've been telling C about once every other day that I want to go to Newport, LOL.  It's one of my very favorite places.  But I know if I choose a day in Newport over more unpacking, etc, I'll just feel worse when we get back that I didn't get anything "done" that day.  You should have terrific weather tomorrow!

  • 1. We're leaving OKC today.

    2. I'm really going to miss everyone here, especially our niece.

    3. Right now it's just my MIL and I at the house and I should be getting ready (not writing TTT).

    4. I can't wait to get home and see Kai.

    5. I've been thinking a lot about when to start ttc again, next month or wait at least 6 more months.

    6. This week I have two doula interviews and a one-day regional childbirth ed conference.

    7. This weekend I start my grantwriting class.

    8. After a week off it's going to feel especially busy.

    9. I want to start creating a detailed list and budget for our summer projects on the house.

    10. I'm really excited that Two's baby will be here soon.

  • 1. A couple of coworkers from another department invited me out for a goodbye lunch today!

    2. As a fun activity, everyone was invited to wear Red Sox gear to work today (season opener was yesterday, and we won).  My Sox tee is kid-sized...so that was a no go.  I borrowed Cecilia's instead Smile

    3. I am so hungry.

    4. What is with all the clouds??  Glad I brought my umbrella - definitely looks like rain.

    5. After today, 6 days of work left.  It's definitely loose-end tying time.

    6. None of my shoes (except flip flops) fit anymore.  I have one pair of shoes I can wear - a cheap pair of flats from Target in 1.5 sizes larger than I normally wear.

    7. Speaking of Target, I'm so annoyed that they had one less curtain than I need for the living room.  They do seem to be part of their regular stock, so hopefully they'll have more soon.  I just need one more!!

    8. Speaking of being annoyed, one of the things we bought at Ikea last weekend is defective! I'm so annoyed that we have to go back to exchange it!

    9. CT has me thinking of Newport again... I would really love to go once for the day before Henry comes.

    10. I can't wait for news from Two True!!

  • 1.  I am trying to plan things to do on our vacation. L will be at a conference for 2.5 of the days we are in FL.  I think I have found some fun stuff: kids art museum, science museum, swamp boat rides, cool playgrounds, nature walks, reptile shows.

    2.  The weather should be beautiful in FL (upper 70s) - but why is it so hot here today and tomorrow (upper 80s/low 90s.)  It is not summer.

    3.  I am going to get a pedi tonight. Yea!  The poor nail tech - my toes haven't been touched by a professional since last August.

    4. I can't believe we are going to be at my ILs for 6 days. Lord help me.  They are nice people - but they live 45 minutes from civilization, decent restaurants, and things to do. Plus there is all kinds of family drama among L's siblings right now.

    5.   Newport sounds like a much better desintation.

    6.  The kids had a great time at the back up preschool and did so much more than they do in their regular preschool. I am SO glad that they are changing schools next year.

    7.  I keep getting interupted (darn work) and this has taken me forver to do.

    8.  Tomorrow I am meeting a friend for our twice yearly b-day celebration at a delicious steakhouse. I can taste the horseradish crusted filet already. Yum.

    9.  I think it is weird that I like things post pregnancy that I despised pre-pregnancy (sauteed onions, horseradish, spicy things.)

    10.  Last night after I put the boys to bed I went downstairs to fix something to eat, finish laundry, etc. I never heard another peep. But when I went in to check on them before I went to bed (L was at a pilates class) I realized that Carter had pushed his bed over next to Grayson (they are small toddler beds.)  This morning he told me he did it so he could talk to his "bruddah."

  • 1. I am nosey and want to know about CT's bio mama drama

    2. This whole court debacle has me emotionally drained. I want something to go right with this case

    3. PBS is a freaking genius. No joke, she is so smart it scares me.

    4. I worry that LMC's creativity and intelligence won't be recognized in school because of her behavior.

    5. I broke down and called the doctor. I know something isn't right and it scares me.

    6. Claiming two children and having S file HOH made a HUGE difference at tax time. Woo Hoo!

    7. I am so over Passover. I want bread!!!!

    8. ::whispers:: We put away a small amount of money for TTC. It's a ways off but I like that we are rebuilding that fund.

    9. I ache for a tiny baby to love.

    10. I want baby Two to come out and meet us!

    1. Easter was lovely. It was so nice to spend quality time with loved ones.
    2. I am so tired today. It's really difficult to stay focused when all you want to do is go to bed.
    3. DW's best friend's mother passed away unexpectedly. I'm so sad for her and her family. Her sister is due to have her first baby in 6 weeks. Ugh.
    4. We had our first ultrasound last week. It was too earlier to hear/see a heartbeat, but we saw the sack and start of the fetal pole. The re said that everything is looking as it should. Yay.
    5. I'm in serious need of warm weather clothes, but don't know what to do about it. It's way too early for maternity clothes, but it does seem silly to spend money on clothes in my normal size.
    6. I'm going for a pedicure tonight too and I can't wait. Bliss!
    7. We're going to a wedding in Newport this summer. I can't wait. I've heard Newport is really, really gorgeous! Enjoy CT!
    8. I am so ready to get out of this office for the day. I can't believe it's only 2pm.
    9. On my way home yesterday, I stopped at the ice cream shop and ordered a cookies and cream shake for my ride home. It was so delicious. I want to stop again today, but this would be a very bad habit to fall into.
    10. Oh, I just had an amazing thought. Drinking a cookies and cream milkshake while getting a pedicure. How perfect would that be???

  • 1. I don't know if weather is ever really "normal," but this year is so strange. So much snow and now it's going to be 90 tomorrow, when the highs are supposed to be in the 60s this time of year?

    2. Tomorrow is the New York City Marathon lottery, and my orthopedist appointment. Training things should look a lot clearer after tomorrow, whether good or bad.

    3. We discovered the most wonderful place on Easter - Sky Meadow State Park. It's so lovely and quiet and out of the way - anyone from the DC area, if you don't mind the drive to Middleburg, this is just 10-15 miles from there. There were quite a few families there on Sunday flying kites and playing around the farmhouse.

    4. I found a list of things to do before I die that I wrote in 2003. It had 53 things on it (I wanted a lot of room to add things later), and I've done 17 of them in the last 7 years. Not bad! I added two more today, so now it has 55.

    5. We finally started watching Californication last night, and ended up watching 6 episodes in a row. I admit that I have a bit of a thing for David Duchovny and that doesn't hurt, but Jen is really liking it too.

    6. I've never made a good meatloaf until this weekend. Got the world's simplest recipe from a friend's MIL, put it together in 5 minutes, and had awesome meatloaf sandwiches last night. --> 1 lb ground beef + 8 oz can tomato sauce + 1 egg + 1 cup Progresso Italian breadcrumbs (don't use any other kind!); press into a 9x9 pan (don't use any other kind!); bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes or until no longer pink in the center.

    7. I always think "ooo, summer tomatoes!" in April. They don't really come until July.

    8. A post on The Bump has made me start worrying about second-parent adoption. Urgh. I need to prioritize my worrying in chronological order.

    9. We got our tax refunds, Jen's retroactive raise, Jen's bonus, and my small bonus all in the same week. It was very exciting to look at our bank account for five minutes before all of it went away into various savings funds and bills. I *am* going to order a subscription to Lucky Magazine though. HA! I CLAIM DOMINION OVER THIS $15 AND NONE SHALL TAKE IT FRM ME!

    10. I've found a vintage shop I love, and it's hard to wait the appropriate amount of time for the stock to turn over before going back to look again. It's quite a ways away and I'm disappointed when I go and it's mostly the same stuff, so I try to wait it out.

    1. What? TWB is actually doing TTT? Woot!
    2. I have set up a little station where I can pump and be on the computer at the same time. It's the little things that make me feel human again.
    3. The twins are one month old today! I had to write a huge AW post over on the parenting board. Yep, I'm becoming One Of Those Moms.
    4. I lost a crown two days after the babies and I came home from the hospital. It's still in the diaper bag somewhere. I should probably get to the dentist soon...
    5. I wish it weren't quite so hot so we could get out and enjoy this weather!
    6. Sylvia's mom is visiting us right now and boy is she strong for a 70-something grandma!
    7. C'mon Baby Two*-- we're eager to meet you! On your own schedule, of course. Wink
    8. I hear a baby crying... guess it's 8TT for me today.

    1. I cannot believe are LOs are 4 weeks old today!
    2. My mother is here, which makes me happy, but I think DW is not as thrilled.
    3. I wish we could have both our mothers here at one time, but I think my mother would feel uncomfortable...who knows C's may also.
    4. Having my Mom around gives me the freedom to get to some of the housework I have been neglecting.
    5. My Mom made chili rellenos last night...YUM YUM!
    6. I have used a lot of leave, but still cannot bear to go back to work. I will be back officially tomorrow afternoon...Sad.
    7. My little J is growing like a weed, though he is not as strong as his sister.

    9. I cannot believe how hot it is right now...we actually turned on the A/C.
    10. Last but not least, we are so blessed by so many people (including this board). THANK YOU!

    2. I also love Californication and David Duchovny (including the Bree Sharp song)

3.My brain has been taken over by disney world planning. It is soooo addictive, I had no idea. I spent all evening on the disboards yesterday. I just got a travel book from the library and I really want to read it instead of housework.

    4. I've started referring to our disney trip as honeymoon #2. Which is funny b/c I was really resistant to taking another honeymoon. Now it's E who gets irritated/amused by my honeymoon excitement.

    5.  I've actually started "training" for our trip, by walking to the metro instead of taking the bus so I get an extra 30 mins of exercise in.

    6. Maybe I should start thinking about all of this hot weather as disney training as well.

    7. I made a really great spinach lasagna recipe Sunday. It's so good.

8.I just found out I'm getting a scholarship to go to the NOLOSE conference in Oakland this summer. Yea!

    9. It's great to have so may baby-related updates all at the same time.

    10. E just walked in the door with groceries so I won't have to go to the store, and can just read about disney world instead. I have the best wife ever.
