NCAA Championship

Did anyone watch the Butler/Duke game lastnight?!  Holy cow, what a game.  I feel so bad for the Butler kids... they came so close!  I'm from IL and I actually almost went to Butler!

I'm always sad to see the same teams over and over in championships though.  I guess I'm a softie - I always root for the underdog! :)

Re: NCAA Championship

  • I live in Indy, of course I watched it!  Although I expected Duke to win after watching both games on Saturday (Butler was having difficulting shooting against MSU), I was still sad that Butler lost.  Maybe it's because it was such a close game or maybe because it's nice to see the underdogs win.  Listening to the commentary on it this morning on NPR and WFYI (local NPR/PBS station) was heartbreaking.

On a funnier note, DH and I have declared the last shot by Butler, "The bonk heard round the world!"  It was like, "Really, do you have to keep playing that shot over and over and over again?"

  • I watched a little bit but I am a sour puss, I wanted KY to win so bad! :(

  • DH and I watched the game and I'm pretty sure he wanted to lock me out on our sun porch.  I was constantly running my own commentary with the game.  Oh, and I got so annoyed every time they'd mispronounce Nored's last name.

It really was a great game and I can't believe how well Butler did.  Brackets were destroyed during this year's tournament.  I can't wait for until next March!

  • I was completely glued to the tv, and soooo disappointed when they lost. I love a good underdog story.
