Intro
Hi! I'm not new to the nest... but I just realized there was a local board. Just wanted to introduce myself. My DH and I just moved down to Oceanside 2 months ago from OC. We're really loving it down here. I'm not too familiar with anything outside of Oceanside though... (aside from like the zoo and sea world), so any must sees or things I should do would be appreciated.

Welcome! I don't know how active the OC board was, but this local is reeeeeeeaaaaaallllllllly slow.
Since you're in Oceanside, I'd recommend cruising down the freeway just a bit and checking out the Carlsbad Outlet Mall. They have a wide range of stores, both in product and prices (everything from Crate & Barrel to Coach, Gap to Saks). There's also some pretty good restaurants right there.
We're in the same area. We love going for morning runs/walks along the beach in Carlsbad and then having breakfast at Daily News Cafe in the village. Definitely check out Carlsbad Village for cute shops, restaurants, etc. Pizza Port is another favorite (off Carlsbad Blvd.).
In Oceanside right across Coast Highway from the library is a small cafe called Mary's. They have great breakfast--pancakes are delicious!!!
I just moved down from OC too!
Since DH already lived in SD I am a bit more familliar with the area. We're in La Jolla, where there is always something to do or a great place to go eat!
You should check out Extraordinary Desserts in downtown. It has the best cakes and desserts I've ever had! They are decorated with fresh flowers and gold leafing too! Super cute!
