Anniversary restaurant recos?
Hi ladies! I don't post here very often, but I live in SA and our fifth anniversary is this weekend. Last year, I asked you all for recos and we had a wonderful dinner at the Lodge at Castle Hills. I'd love your recos for a restaurant for us to go to this year. Always looking to try something new! :-)
Has anyone been to Il Sogno (sp?) at the Pearl Brewery? Also considering Fogo de Chao downtown. Or anything else you all can recommend!

We've been to Il Sogno and weren't terribly impressed. While the food was good (not spectacular), our particular server left much to be desired.
My favorite special occasion places in SA are Olorosa, Fig Tree, and Bohannan's. Fogo is fun if you LOVE meat, but I wouldn't consider it as a romantic anniversary-type place.
I've only been once, but I really loved Boudro's on the Riverwalk.
Easily one of my favorite restaurants ever is Chama Gaucha on the northside (near Stone Oak). It's also a brazilian steakhouse and our experience there was just amazing. I also agree you need to love meat to go there (or any brazilian steakhouse), although their salad bar and side dishes were also delicious. And their service was incredible.
