Post your FAV HH food....
Hey Ladies!
I am throwing my BFF a HH wedding shower in a few weeks and I am in charge of the food since I cant be in charge of the drinks! I want the food to be as awesome as possible...so throw out your ideas! What is your FAVORITE thing to eat at HH? I will be making the food myself as the budget the other people throwing the party does not permit catering. Help me out! So far I have wings, taquitos, mini tacos, 7 layer dip, and crack dip. We are dealing with pescatarians as well as strict vegetarians. TIA!
Re: Post your FAV HH food....
Mmmm...I love appetizers! I would rather eat appetizers than a meal anytime.
Sweet and Sour Meatballs
Brie-Stuffed Mushrooms
Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips
Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip
I just hosted a cocktail party and had caprese skewers (all from TJs). Cream cheese and red pepper jelly on crackers is always the first to go. And I did turkey meatballs in a crockpot with a peanut chili sauce which took no effort.
Good luck!
Here are my faves!
Cream Cheese Won Tons
My crack dip recipe
Baked Coconut Shrimp
thanks ladies all of these things sound sooo good!
@jj's- I am soooo making crack dip...with and without chicken!
I made some mozz/tomato skewers for easter and they were a hit, as always.
already mentioned, but this is my fav spinach/artichoke dip - I like it because it doesn't have any mayo (::barf::).

if you want to get fancy, my sister made some really good apps for a party once. sesame crackers, dab a bit of honey, top with a piece of brie and finish with a slice of fig. so yum.
I don't know if figs are even in season, but I'm assuming you could easily sub for another fruit.
I loved the jalapeno cheese things marshy made once. Check her blog.
Also, you can't go wrong with pretty much anything in TJ's frozen section. Baby quiches, carmelized onion and cheese flatbread, mini meatballs (like everyone else said.) I also love mini tea sandwiches.
TJ is a good call. Potato skins are my fav with smoked bacon.
