Past Christmas Cards

So, I've begun my spring cleaning and after watching "Hoarders" I'm sad to admit that I have a lot of the same traits as those wackos. No, my house does NOT look anything like their houses, but I tend to keep things. I don't want to, but I feel bad throwing things away that were given to us or that I could "probably use in the future."

Anyway... what do you do with the Christmas cards you received in the past? How long am I supposed to hang on to them? I feel so bad even considering tossing them, but I have so many manila envelopes full of cards. I will definitely keep bday/anni cards, but what about holidays?

Thoughts?

Re: Past Christmas Cards

  • The actual card cards I throw away after new years.. The cards with the holiday photos on them, I keep. Sometimes I just cut the picture of the kids / familys out and put them in a scrap book. If they are a close family / friends card, we'll keep the whole card in a scrap book..

  • I am a total minimalist, I pitch x-mas cards right after new years.  I hate clutter.

This.  Though, that's only if I get to them without DH seeing I'm throwing them away.  If he catches that, then the photo ones go in a drawer until he's not looking.  lol :)
