Ebay Question

If I buy something from someone in the US off of Ebay, will there be any extra charges when it crosses the border?

Thanks!

Re: Ebay Question

  • Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I find the higher the value of the item, the more likely I am to be charged. Also it seems like if the sender is a company as opposed to an individual, I'm more likely to be charged.
  • Also, love the new pic!
  • I think the rule is $50 and over then there is custom/duty charges.  If you can get the sender to classify the parcel as a "gift" then there are no extra charges.
