Fair Trade Organic Sugar at Costco

I was able to get a 10lb bag of this: Wholesome Sweeteners for $7.99.

As a bonus, it was only marginally more money than Domino brand. 

I don't know much about this brand, but it looks good to me.  Hopefully it bakes up as well as the white stuff.

I am trying to work my way on being more green.  So is this sugar just like regular sugar?

I'm trying to be more green as well.  According to the package, you can directly substitute for regular sugar.  I'm not sure about the taste, since I haven't opened it yet.

it's what we use... other than the color being slightly more tan, it looks, cooks and tastes just like conventional sugar

I haven't researched this particular brand, but it's sold at the local co-op that researches everything and only sells the good stuff...

OH!  I hope our Costco gets that soon.  I've been struggling with the sugar issue and this sounds like it could be a better solution.

This is the only sugar I use except it doesn't work well if you make caramels.  I've seen this sugar at local natural stores selling for $5 for an 8 oz bag.

Thanks for sharing! This works EXACTLY like regular sugar and tastes like it too. Actually, I think it tastes better. I've used it in meringues and there is a *slight" color difference, but it doesn't affect the taste.
