Just planted my vegetable garden!
Very first time I've really attempted to grow much of anything. We'll see how it goes. One of my friends helped me pick things out and plant them. We did a few things in pots and then in a raised bed.
We planted:
-Cucumbers
-Zucchini
-Sweet corn
-Tomatoes
-Cauliflower
-Onions
-Peas
-Beans
-Jalapenos
-Red bell peppers
-Carrots
And I bought a potato planter bag so I'm hoping to plant potatoes soon.

Re: Just planted my vegetable garden!
It must be much warmer where you are! I woke up to frost and 41 degrees this morning
Did you plant from seeds or were the plants already started?
That's awesome! We did a lot of the same veggies you did, but it's not nearly so warm here so we've planted the spring veggies, and have either started the summer veggies indoors or have to wait until the threat of frost has past (May 1) to direct-sow outside.
I'm sure you can go ahead and plant the potatoes, we did ours last week. It's our first time trying those, and everything I've read says to plant "as soon as the soil can be worked" and to use organic seed potatoes from a seed catalog or garden store. We're using the potato grow bags as well.
We've already direct-sowed onions, carrots, sugar snap peas, english peas, and spinach. We started 2 kinds of tomatoes and 2 kinds of peppers indoors, I don't think the eggplant seeds are going to sprout because it's not hot enough (they need soil temps of 90 degrees!). We'll direct-sow green beens and cucumbers May 1.
I just did too! You must have a larger plot than I do! We decided to start a little smaller this year, but can grow our yard (ie Jungle) a little more next year. We planted 5 tomato plants, 15 peppers (all different types), and 180 onions!
We plan on planting garlic in the fall (apparently that is when it is good). And we need to get zucchini seeds and start them in our sun room.

Me three! My tomato seedlings are tiny, but seem healthy. I'm like "come on babies, grow! What do you need?!? You have light, warmth, we fertilize once a week... tell me what you want!!!"
ME 4. And we just got a huge rain storm and I am scared to go look at our tomatoes for fear of sadness.
