How do you store your (large amounts of) digital photos?

What (peripheral) device do you use? Or what do you recommend?
Nutmeg, cilantro, sage, mint, thyme... these are a few of my favorite things! Visit The Nest!Visit The Nest! We have four children; one left us too soon.

  • i use DVD's I had a bunch of cds, but my dh made me switch to DVD... and its a big diff.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • External hard drive. So easy. I also have burned some dvds to keep in the fireproof safe of photos that I wouldn't want to lose.
  • Geeks has a bunch of external hard drives for a decent price.

    Here's one that has 2TB

    Hope is not a strategy.
  • Well for us not only are they on our server (yup, we have our own and host our own website) with mirroring hard drives but they are also on our desk top that runs sync toy and has two hard drives and also backed up on my lap top via sync toy and to his laptop (same method) plus they are on thumb drives, and external hard drive and also burned to dvds and distributed to members of our family for safe keeping as well as our copy in a fire proof box. Sounds like a lot but it's not hard to do. Dh has sync toy run automatically any time any of the computers are turned on and for the thumbs we just plug 'em and push a button and away it goes. DVD's easy when you have multiple burners and just have enter one command line to burn to all burners.
