Reccomend your cleaning supplies!

I love using green cleaning products, but I am wary in my kitchen and bathroom. With a newborn, i am having a hard time finding a balance between knowing there isn't salmonella lingering on my kitchen counter tops and making sure harsh chemicals aren't either! Currently I use my green cleaner for everyday use, but use a regular cleaner after handling raw meat and such. Please help!

Re: Reccomend your cleaning supplies!

  • You could 1) wipe the counter down with 100% full-strength vinegar, then without rising 2) wipe it down with hydrogen peroxide (whatever the regular variety is - I can't remember if it is 3% or 5%)

This will effectively kill pretty much everything - all acids and bases.

Also, make sure that you microwave your sponges or change your dish clothes frequently

  • I use a homemade cleaner for everything. It's just baking soda, vinegar and Dr. Bronners mixed together.
