Come in all you that do container grow
I am looking for pictures and ideas of things i can grow in a container fruits and veggies. Any help would be great.
Re: Come in all you that do container grow
I don't have any pictures, and it's been a while since I had a container garden (I have a yard now), but there's very little you can't grow in containers. My personal favorites are strawberries, any sort of herb, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, peppers ... I even grew corn in containers once. I had about seven stalks - and thus, seven ears of corn. LOL I wouldn't do that again, but I did have a lemon tree and other citrus in containers and they did great - it was really nice in the winter because I could just wheel them into the house on very cold days.
I think this site may be helpful to you - there are forums that I've gotten good information from in the past.
Good luck!
These are from my garden two years ago. I've found lettuce to be SUPER EASY to grow. Tomatoes need a lot of room to grow, unless you are using a topsy turvy. Please only put 1 plant per container. Also with tomatoes you want to buy determinate plants, meaning they only grow to a certain size.
Container Garden
Buy big enough containers to grow tomatoes, cucumbers, squash as those plants need room to spread their roots. All those plants need 8 plus hours of light. Water in the AM or afternoon only. Evening watering causes water to pool around the plant and causes them to rot. My pictures are mostly on my computer at home. There are some vegetables specifically for container growing.
Good luck!
