I always think it is hard to bring up suspected speech delays with friends and family. I usually figure they know I am an SLP and if they want some of my advice, they can ask. Heck, maybe the little girl is already in EI.
But maybe you could just try to be casual about it, like ask if she's shy and that is why she's not talking in front of you, kind of a thing. Then maybe that would lead to them saying she doesn't talk much and they may ask what you think. at that point I would mention the doctor, but also let them know many docs have differeing opinions, some say to wait as late as 3, which is way too late, imo. THere are many different EI programs which cover many different catchment areas. I think Lindsay04 works in EI, she may be able to tell you more about specific programs. Also, many programs don;t have SLPs, but home educators who would come to the house to work with the family. I don't actually know any websites specifically, but you could do a search on the ASHA site maybe.
Best of luck tomorrow, I know it will be a hard day for you! And for labels, I used mabel's label's and another I will find in my bookmark and post in a second!

Re: ** Shannon **
appliedlabels.com is good if the daycare wants you to date the bottles.
I use both mabels and applied, but actually my daycare doesn't require that I date bottles.
I just checked my labels, I didn't use mabels, I used stuckonyou
OK, HTH, they have all worked out great!
