s/o to the fair trade sugar post below.
Sometimes trying to be EF on a budget can be tricky, so I feel like I've hit the jackpot when I discover something EF at Costco that I can get on the cheap.
Last week I found a 4 pack of Tom's of Maine toothpaste. I know TOM is a bit of an iffy brand since they were bought out, but I figure it's better than Crest or Colgate.
I love their Emerald Valley Organic salsa and bean dip pack. Some of the best salsa I've ever had (and I figure bigger container = less packaging for more salsa, right?)
That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but I know there's got to be more. I'm planning a Costco trip this weekend, so I would love to hear your finds!
Re: What really good organic/fair trade/EF finds have you discovered at Costco?
We're lucky in that Costco is a Seattle company, and I think there's a lot of Organics at our local Costcos that aren't available nationwide.
Here, too, a lot (like a LOT) of their house brand (Kirkland) is Organic, and no longer even available in a conventional variety... oatmeal (the instant packets), gallon sized jars of salsa, etc.
I am the 99%.
Oh, you're in Seattle, too!
Have you been to Grocery Outlet? I've gotten some amazing Organics there (esp. Health & Beauty Aids and things like cereals) on the cheap.
I am the 99%.
I've also heard really good things about the Champion Grocery Outlet in Issaquah.

I haven't heard of it, but I will have to check it out!
(by the way, not only am I also from Seattle, but I am also in West Seattle too! Howdy neighbor
The Kirkland coffee beans are fair trade and fabulous. I usually get the green House blend, but today I grabbed a bag of the espresso beans to use in our roomie's new espresso maker. I expect they will live up to the others.
My Costco also recently started carrying a couple of the coffees that Ten Thousand Villages sells.
cool!... We're in the 'bad' part of WS, over near Zippy's...
the new Grocery Outlet in SoDo is actually nice... I had been going to the one in Burien and it's got great stuff but is kind of sad.
I am the 99%.
Oooh, I do love me some Zippy's when I'm in the mood to be bad.
me too! yum!
I am the 99%.
I found organic quinoa at Costco- 4lbs for $10.
It's cheaper than the stuff I've been buying in bulk.
I'm looking for this next time I go! What brand?

I like many Costco products, but I'm also annoyed.
I want to buy the Costco quinoa, but it's processed on equipment that uses tree nuts. I don't understand why so many gluten-free items are processed with other high allergens. (My daughter has mutliple food allergies.)
Also, they just replaced the dye-free children's liquid Zyrtec with the Kirkland grape that contains all these artificial flavors and methylparaben to boot. Boo!
And the organic bbq sauce I bought contains agave nectar, which I thought was better than high fructose corn syrup but it's not! (Another poster in another post mentioned it.)
We often buy the organic boneless chicken, sliced apple packs, greens, and carrots. Sometimes the OJ but I wish it were calcium fortified. And lots of vinegar (not organic but good for everything).
Ooh I hadn't heard of the Champion Outlet in Issaquah. I will try to check that out soon!!
Costco carries Ecos laundry detergent (and possibly other products) that I really like. Its a good price and works well.
Two local products I LOVE are the Steibr Farms eggs -- I will never ever buy another. If I don't have regular farm eggs, Steibr brown ones for me! -- and Julie's Organic Yogurt (frozen). OMG its better than ice cream, better than any frozen yogurt I've ever had, better nutritionally and all organic.
Ballard Organics is a Dr. Bronner's-ish soap made in, of course, Ballard. Bartell's carries it. Sonic told me about it... I wish she'd come back!
Oh and Fosse Farm's dressings! The garlic marionberry is the best ever. I think you can only get these at farmer's markets though.
