You guys know alot! So what about SpyWare?
My computer was invaded sometime ago and we got the McAfee to quarantine the spware however, it still resides (or looks like it does) in the folder to which it was stored. Right now, stuff keeps popping up periodically asking me to continue which I think might be a virus/ spyware.
What software do you recommend I purchase or download to not only recognize and alert me of intrusion but will locate and get rid of the junk forever?
Thank you.
Nutmeg, cilantro, sage, mint, thyme... these are a few of my favorite things!

We have four children; one left us too soon.

Norton is a veritable PITA. Try AVG. It's free.

First of all, is your McAfee up to date? If not, I would recommend contacting your Internet Service Provider and getting a free copy of antivirus software. A majority of ISPs offer their customers free antivirus programs with the purchase of high speed internet. McAfee and other virus/ spyware programs work the same - once they find spyware on your system, it is removed from your computer but a log of what was found is kept.
