We Need a Board Pick Me UP!
It's sooo slow and quiet around here. We are almost all to our one year mark - holy cow!!
Where were you a year ago with wedding planning?

Re: We Need a Board Pick Me UP!
We were waiting for our RSVP's to come back. We mailed our invites out April 1 last year [May 23 wedding] and working on dinner options for our reception. My dress still wasn't in, but the BM's were in. All of my favors were done and gifts were in my room. I'm pretty sure my flower girl pomander was done.
I'd vowed to not be running around at the last second and held true to it. I just had to find a BM 48 hours before the wedding, but no big, right?
I still can't believe my ex-MOH dropped out 48 hours before my wedding. Luckily my best friend, who should've been MOH to begin with, stepped up and did it and we had a family friend be my other BM. The dress for the ex MOH fit her perfect and all was well

You mean, you didn't use the Knot's week by week and memorize it? tee hee. I had to think about what I was up to. I still can't believe it's almost been a year, that is so crazy!!
How is your pregnancy going?

I also can't remember where we were in planning... probably going crazy trying to get all of the last minute details finished. I don't miss planning a wedding one bit.
I am also planning for my baby, and my shower is exactly one week before our 1 year anniversary. It is crazy how much has happened since our wedding.
Agreed on the board pick me up!
I'm not sure where I was a year ago. Collecting RSVPs for sure and that is about it. Possibly deciding the centerpieces that I had to change because of the floral quote that doubled in March.
TTC #1 since 08/11 IUI#2 = BFP!
Hm, I think this time last year I was probably freaking out about my $200 lost for my centerpieces that I bought on ebay and never received... and trying to come up with a new idea for centerpieces.
Probably just doing a bunch of last minute other stuff as well
Whew, so glad I don't have to worry about any of that anymore.
Agreed on the board pick me up as well - it's so slow here!
Awesome
I feel him moving around constantly - the only bad thing is he likes to get stuck up under my right ribs and I have to push him back down. Lol. But I really have been blessed with an "easy" pregnancy so far. I just wish I would've been more careful about what I was eating early on. I've had a pretty hefty weight gain. Oh well. I'm going to restart WW asap. Lol.
We are going to start on the nursery this weekend (possibly)! So I'm also excited about that. And I can't believe how fast its all going. Its unbelievable to me that I'm already past 7 mos! Oh - and our last childbirth prep class is on our 1st Anniversary.
I really can't remember what I was doing as far as wedding planning this time last year, all I can remember is that my bach weekend was one year ago this past weekend.
This time last year I was looking forward to my wedding, and planning that we would spend every anniversary at the beach where we got married. Considering we'll either have a newborn on our anniversary or be in the hospital, I don't think we're gonna make it to the beach! lol! I wouldn't have it any other way, though.
A year and two days ago multiple tornadoes hit my town, so I was worried about:
1.) The house I was currently living in (with my parents).
2,) FI's house/his parents' house.
3.) All our shower gifts we had just gotten.
4.) The house that FI and I had made an offer on.
Thankfully all of the above were OK! I had a couple more showers after that... not sure what else I was doing at this time. Probably collecting RSVPs like the others said, and who knows what else.

It's funny...i was just talking about this with my Mom this past weekend. This time last year, we were looking for shower hostess gifts and worrying that the pasture where we got married would be ready (hay cut and baled) in time for the wedding. I had a 1.5 year engagement, so I got a lot of my planning done early.
I'm so happy for (and slightly jealous of) all you ladies with big bellies or babies already here! We're going to start trying sometime this year and even though I am enjoying our time being married, I am really excited about baby in our future!
Hey Emmy! It is really cool of you to try and do a board pick me up over here. I hope the board picks up because I do miss talking to you ladies. My home board these days is the GP board, those girls are awesome.
Let's see a year ago this time, I was probably freaking out because one of my BM's was dropping out of the wedding because she refused to order her dress. I still don't know what happened there. We were probably getting the centerpieces together, I was taking bridal portraits and engagement pictures, booking honeymoon to Savannah, GA among probably a million other things. I am so happy to be married and I really do not miss the planning. I can't believe it has almost been a yr. I have been so busy trying to finish school that it just really seems like it was a lot longer ago than just this time last yr. I hope everyone is doing good!
Ditto on this. I hang on my local board and the GP board a lot but I do miss my May 2009 girls. Last year I think I was working on fittings for my sister and I and waiting for RSVP's to come back. I can't believe it's almost been a year. And so many babies on their way too! DH and I were just talking over the weekend discussing if we wanted to do gifts for each other and stuff like that. We've really enjoyed this last year. The first of many happy years to come!!!
This time last year I wasn't doing too much wedding planning because my sister was getting ready to have a baby! Can't believe my niece will be 1 this week.
I am sure I was stalking the mailbox for rsvps though.
BFP #1 7/1/2009 ~ EDD 3/9/2010 ~ Ella Adeline (7lbs 4 oz, 19.5 inches) 3/5/2010

We were waiting for response cards since they were due on the 22nd. We also were working on our centerpieces, gluing crystals to the lanterns. In 10 days, we both had our bachelor/ette parties.
M and I were just hugging in the kitchen the other day thinking about this time last year. We both smiled and said how happy we were to be married to each other and can't wait to celebrate our anniversary.
It has been quite slow here lately...not that I've helped any!
This time last year I'm sure I was freaking out about ceremony music selection because I knew it wasn't going to be what we asked for (and it wasn't). Other than that I ws running around at home and at work making sure everything was finished before we left for the weedding.
I definately can't believe its been a year!
