What's on the menu this week?
The last few weeks we've been really bad about keeping food in the house and planning meals ahead of time. This weekend we finally stocked up at the grocery store and have some meals planned!
Re: WFD this week?
Sat. I made curried lentils (and DH made something else- because he said he "didn't like" lentils- but then he tried it and said he actually liked it!)
Sun. we had pan-grilled teriyaki tuna steaks, rice, and corn.
Tonight we're having leftover chicken from the end of last week.
The rest of the week we're having turkey burgers, chicken caesar salad, and other various leftovers. I'll be on my own for dinner on Friday and I'm thinking about experimenting with something else that DH would be unlikely to eat (probably tofu).
tonight - pesto pasta w/ roasted veggies
tuesday - some sort of salad - crab, avacado, cucumbers, spinach ... i'll make it up as i go
wednesday - bbq pork sandwiches, mac n' cheese and slaw
thursday - i'm sure DH will want Pei Wei
We've been total slackers the last week or so. We're trying to save money this week since we're going to Vegas on Sunday. This means we'll be cleaning out the pantry & eating leftovers. :-)
Tonight we're having steaks & asparagus 'cause that's what I was in the mood for when I went grocery shopping earlier.
Other than that this weeks menu includes: sandwiches/wraps, salads, canned soup, some ravioli's that are in the fridge and breakfast for dinner since we have eggs that need to be used.
Sunday-I made Philly Cheesesteaks
Monday-DH make buffalo chicken wraps
Tuesday-Tacos
Wed-Grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup
Thur-potluck dinner for church
Friday-Steak dinner with friend.
I had one of those insane food cravings that just don't go away until you actually eat the food you're craving a few times... sooooo:
Monday: organic whole wheat spaghetti w/ three cheese spaghetti sauce and meatballs
Tuesday: organic whole wheat spaghetti w/ vodka sauce and meatballs
Wednesday: Egg salad sandwiches w/ soup
Thursday: We got a $100 gift certificate for the Kabob House... woooohoooo!
Friday: Pesto tortelini w/ spaghetti sauce and MEATBALLS.
I would have just eaten pasta w/ tomato based sauce and meatballs all week, but poor DH needed a break in between lol.
