Another newbie with a question

I got tulips for Easter from family and promptly planted them in my front yard. They are already dying and don't look too great.  I also planted them in bunches instead of spacing each tulip out and I'm not liking how it looks.

Would it be ok to uproot the tulips and replant them again? Should I take them out of the ground, and hold onto the bulbs to plant in the fall?  TIA

Re: Another newbie with a question

  • I think a bunch of tulips looks better than a row of them, FWIW.

anyways, you need to leave the leaves so they can store food for the winter.  I suppose if you really must move them, now would be the time I suppose, but leave the leaves until they start turning brown.
