Stanley Cup Playoffs and Predictions
Let's do some predictions for the run to the Cup!
1. Who do you think will make it to the finals?
2. Whose your pick to win Lord Stanley's Cup?
3. Whose your pick for the Conn Smythe (playoff mvp)
4. Do you have a "dark horse" to take out one of the "favorites" for the cup prediction (i.e. Colorado upset the Sharks in round one)
5. And...did your team make it to the playoffs? If so, how are you feeling about the first round matchups?

2. Whose your pick to win Lord Stanley's Cup? Capitals
3. Whose your pick for the Conn Smythe (playoff mvp) Ovechkin (although I could see Semin or Backstrom winning this too)
4. Do you have a "dark horse" to take out one of the "favorites" for the cup prediction (i.e. Colorado upset the Sharks in round one) I'd love for the Predators to upset Chicago, but only because the Predators are my team. I think the Coyotes have a good chance of beating the Wings in round one.
5. And...did your team make it to the playoffs? If so, how are you feeling about the first round matchups? My team is the Predators, and I am excited about the matchup with the Hawks. Previously we've played either the Sharks or the Wings, I am excited to see a different team. And Chicago/Nashville are relatively close to each other, so the travel will be easy.
I don't have time to respond (have to take my son to bball practice) but I just wanted to say... Ummm NO! to the bolded text!
Last years early exist was more than I cared to stomach especially after winning the Pres trophy. Not to say, I haven't experience early exits in the past... been a Sharks fan for 16 years.
Sharks have been on the wrong side of the upset one too many times, I am hoping they get far this year (in my brackets I have them going all the way to the Western Conference Finals). If ya'll get knocked out early, I imagine there will be some big changes.

5. And...did your team make it to the playoffs? If so, how are you feeling about the first round matchups? Well one of them... I'm a Sabres and Hurricanes fan. Sabres are in, and I'm going to Game 1 tomorrow night. I'm feeling good, heck if they can't beat Boston, there's no way they'd be able to get through the second round.

4. Do you have a "dark horse" to take out one of the "favorites" for the cup prediction (i.e. Colorado upset the Sharks in round one) I'd like to see Montreal beat the Caps.
5. And...did your team make it to the playoffs? If so, how are you feeling about the first round matchups? The Devils made it but they're really struggling against the Flyers. They're their own worst enemy, I swear. If we can pull it together and beat Philadelphia then I know we can win it all.

4. Do you have a "dark horse" to take out one of the "favorites" for the cup prediction (i.e. Colorado upset the Sharks in round one) The Avs will take out the Sharks. It's inevitable. It's....well, the Sharks.
5. And...did your team make it to the playoffs? If so, how are you feeling about the first round matchups? Hell yea they made it. And as long as they keep Varly in, they'll have the Canadiens in 5.
The Hawks are destined to make it to the finals and lose for the sole reason that Hossa is on their roster. He played for the Pengins when they lost in the finals, switched to the Wings so he could "play for a winner," then they lost to the Pengins in the finals. So now is it the Hawk's turn?
That is how I see it playing out...the "Hossa Curse"
