Is there a train that goes from Indy to NYC (Amtrak)?
Anything like this? My grandfather was telling me that he heard there was some type of train that can go from Indy to NYC and vice versa and it leaves you off at where the airports are at. Anyone know about this? We are gong to NYC in December and would like to take this route instead of flying. TIA.
Re: Is there a train that goes from Indy to NYC (Amtrak)?
Never heard of one going right to NYC but I know that you can go to Chicago on Amtrak and then to New York, but that would be back traking some. Maybe from Indy to Detroit then New York.

I just checked Amtrak.com and there is a train that goes from IND to NYC (Penn Station). However, it takes almost 24 hours to get there, it costs $157 each way for a coach seat (so almost $300 Round Trip and you're not in a sleeper car).
If it were me, I'd fly (even with the baby).
