Reccomend your OB/GYN

I had a scan last week and it found something that my gynecologist missed, which really has me worried and mad!

Besides her missing this her beside manner isn't the greatest, she is very laid back almost too laid back.  I bring up my concerns and it almost like she brushes them off.

I went to pick up my medication and had the Walgreens pharmacist tell me about the interactions not my doctor, isn't that my doctors job?

I have a nuerological condition and can't have interations.  I chose her because she is a research doctor from WashU, but I am having serious doubts!

I need someone new that will talk with me, listen to me and be thorough.

Any Suggestions?  I am in Richmond Heights, but will drive within reason for someone good.

Re: Reccomend your OB/GYN

  • I LOVE my OB but she is at St. Anthony's so that's a bit of a drive for you.  From when I did my clinicals at St. Mary's, I really liked Dr.Peterson (I think that's how she spelled her last name) but I'm not sure if she takes 'regular' patients or just sees clinic patients.  I know quite a few people like Meera Patel in the University Towers across from the Galleria.
  • I like Genesis Ob/Gyn.  I got to the Bridgeton one and see Dr. Cartwright.  She is wonderful.  There are 3 other there too that are great!  It takes a while to get in though but I think its worth it.

  • i would recommend mine, but i have the same as Bridebecca at St. Anthony's... Dr. Cherese Collins at Women's Health Partners, if you're interested.  Love her!

  • Dr. Daniel McDonald, he just moved to Kirkwood.
  • Becca that might be the doctor Beckie goes too. I was with her the day she had her u/s which fouind nothing. I am totally frustrated with the fact that this lady missed something. But I also know that it could be knew. Beckie and I had a short convo lastnight about it.

Beckie, I love my doctor and I think he is great (haha everyone loves their doctor). His name is Stephen Boveri. He is in Kirkwood though and will be moving to Fenton once the new hospital opens. But Becca's doctor is really nice too. I saw her when I didn't have insurance.

  • i go to Patel (the dr becca mentioned) and have since 1998. I have never had a problem with her and she just delivered my son last week. I would highly recommend her. she is across from the galleria in university club towers.
  • my ob is with wash u as well but i love her and the practice she is in.  she sees patients at barnes.  dr. gladys tse.

  • My doctor isn't Dr. Patel, but the doctor I see is in the Club Towers accross from the Galleria.  I just saw her the other day and she does think that it could be something new, but she needs more information, so I am having an ultrasound on the 10th.

Ryan went with me to my appointment and he can see where my concerns are with her and he believes that because she doesn't have a great bedside manner is beccause she is such a researcher.  He told me to give her more of a chance.  If after this, I still don't feel comfortable, you girls have given me some great suggestions!

    Thank YOu!
