Thursday's GTG

Hi girls!!!  I'm back in town, and as promised, I'm posting today about our GTG location (Thursday, August 28, 7:00 PM).

Should we propose areas and then decide where???

Since I'm not familiar with a lot of areas yet I'll just propose St. Charles or Chesterfield.

Please post where would you prefer or nominate another area.  Once the area is decided we can post about the specific location (I'm guessing tomorrow to give enough people a chance to vote today).

Re: Thursday's GTG

  • Oh, and if nobody votes I'll suspend the democratic system and propose the St. Louis Bread that's on Clarkson in Chesterfield for this time arround!!! LOL
  • Seems like Westport would be a pretty central place, I'm in Jeff county, I could venture to Chesterfield, I think St. Charles would be out for me.
  • Although I can't make it this time, Westport is central. I held my wedding reception there and I had guest from North, South, West, and East, and it was accommodating for everyone.

    Have fun ladies! Drinks

  • Westport sounds good to me (as good as anything else at least!!!).  What can we do there?  What places are around there???
  • I'm not super familiar with what's around there.  I know there's a Bread Co (cheap, good, easy, don't know if it would be good with large parties though), and Kobe (WONDERFUL food, but too expensive for my budge right now, easily $30 per person).
  • I think we could try Bread Co.  that way everybody gets what they want and pays for it upfront (so we don't have to struggle dividing the check) and it's not too expensive!

I'm still not sure where it is... but I'll Google it right now!

  • Sorry I'm just responding.  I was out of town this weekend and been working like crazy.

Anyway, Chesterfield or Westport would be ok for me.  There are a lot of places in Westport.  There's Ozzie's, Puljos (don't know how to spell his name), Casa Gallardo, Trainwreck, and I'm sure others that I'm forgetting.

Unfortunately, I'll probably only be able to stay an hour at the latest.  Sad

  • Hey, I'm not sure where Westport is and I try and look it up on the Bread Co. website and didn't see a location that was called "Westport", does anybody know what would their address be or around where are they located?

    What's Ozzie's???  And Trainwreck???

  • Ozzie's is a bar/grill type placed owned by a former St. Louis Cardinal Ozzie Smith.  They have all kinds of food if I remember correctly.

Trainwreck has a restaurant side and then a bar side.  I've never been on a Thursday, but on the weekends they have a band playing on the one side.  If I remember their food was pretty good too.

Here's the address for Bread Co.

    Westport Plaza (map)

The only other thing I saw was that they are having a blues and jazz concert that night.  Not sure if it will be really busy because of that or not.  But I'm cool with whatever you guys want to do.
