Re: *** Sheri ***
Good job making me spit tea at my desk.
Sheri, we miss you!
Unrelated - Veruca, you made it to the first elephant! Yay!
LOL! It's exciting
Sorry douches, I've been busy at work. Then, when I get home I spend as much time with M as I can. He's just about done this boat, then he has about a month or so of "lull"(sp?) time at work before the next boat starts, and they are putting him as 2nd shift supervisor for that one, which mean's I will barely ever see him (way less than I already do). I work 8am-430pm, he would be working 3pm-11pm or 1130pm, he wouldn't get home till somewhere around or after midnight, I would already be in bed. I am not looking forward to that boat. I've also been an emotional mess lately, for reasons unknown to me.
Then we've been going over the whole housing bit and have decided to not touch the "extra" savings money for it because doing so would wipe us out clean and we do not want to do that. We are going to keep that as an emergency fund. That being said, as far as a mortgage payment goes, our car payments and credit card kill us (our cc bill is around 2500), so we have decided together, to take our tax return money and pay a good chunk of his car off, after that his car would only have about 7 or 8 payments left on it give or take. Then we would just make double payments on mine and get it paid off somewhere around a year after that. Depending on where we are financially after paying his car off, we would start looking indefinately then, or wait until mine is paid off too.
I know this is all confusing because I was so "for sure" before. But all along I've been TRYING to tell M not to use that savings money because we wouldn't have ANYTHING left after, he kept saying "Don't worry, we'll be fine" etc etc. I kept trying to tell him we can't afford a mortgage payment right know because of car payments, he again would say "Yes, we can, we'll be fine" well low and behold he ran the numbers AGAIN and oh my, I was right and there went his mood. To try and keep this long story short, we aren't moving anytime soon unless he gets promoted or someone pays off our cars for us. He told me if I want to get out faster, we have to stop going out. Well, sorry but I do not intend to stop living life simply to get a house, sorry but that's just me. It does however mean that NOLA is out of the question for me, I just don't know if I could spend that much money on that, knowing it could have went towards a house. Who knows, maybe, hopefully someday you chicks will make your way up here!
Things at home are kosher for the time being and as long as it stays that way, things will be okay until we can buy.
I miss you girls too, but I've been an emotional roller coaster lately and I don't want to drag anyone else down with me.
