How the heck do you moisturize the inside of your nose?!

I am totally serious here. My nose is so dry inside, it hurts. Do I put lotion in it? That sounds odd. Vaseline?

There are nasal moisturizers. I don't have one now, but I used to get them when I had colds and would be blowing my nose so much it felt like the Sahara on the inside.

If you go to a drugstore, go to the dept. where they keep the cold remedies or nasal sprays. A pharmacist could help as well.

I use lotion or vasaline. It's odd yes, but it works. I find mine gets so dry in the winter it bleeds.

I also use vasaline. I put a bit on the tip of a qtip and put it in my nose.

I think what I use is called Secarus (not sure about the spelling)

It's a white and red tube you can get at a pharmacy, last time is was right by the pharmacy cash register area.

Just put it on a qtip and rub around the inside of your nose.  I also get nose bleeds in the winter if I don't use it.

Oddly enough I'm an expert in this area...  not sure if you recall my mention of a hereditary diease that I had to take into consideration when deciding if we wanted to try to have a baby... well my most common symptom of my disease at this point in my life is the frequent nosebleeds.  So keeping a moisturized nose is essential. 

PP are correct, vaseline is a good choice.  I usually use polysporin to get a bit of medicine to help heal any open wounds in there.  I use a Q-Tip and pur the vaseline/polysporin and apply as necessary.

In the last year I've also been perscribed flo-nase (not sure on the spelling - nasal spray for allergies), surprisingly this has helped keep my nose moist way up in there (I was concerned that this would have the opposite effect, but my specialist has warned me of prolonged sustained use of this in case I have problems in future).

Thanks to frequent nosebleeds and sinus problems leading to a constant runny nose, I feel like an expert on this topic.  My Dr suggested polysporin and I find that works the best.

Thanks all. I used Polysporin on it last night and this morning it feels 100% better. Although, Dallas walked in on me putting it in there with a q-tip and the look on his face was priceless. lol

LOL... I can remember the first time I let jer in on some of my nose secrets....   he does give me that "look", but at the same time he worries about me and understands that its just something I gotta do.
