TruGreen/Chemlawn?

Has anyone ever used them? They gave us a pretty good estimate to seed/fertilize/weed our lawn, but DH started researching them online and found a lot of complaints. Thanks!

We had their service a few years ago.  They seemed to do a pretty good job as far as controlling weeds and our grass looked good.. Though several times they did not do our backyard inside the fence, even though our dogs were inside the house and the gate was not locked.  That ticked me off since the agreement was for the entire yard.

We decided that it just was not worth the money.  DIY with Turfbuilder seems to do just as good a job and costs much less.

When we first moved into our house the yard was a complete disaster.  There were huge dirt spots everywhere and all we had were weeds, no grass.  We also have clay and TONS of rock, so we weren't having any success trying to get grass to grow.  We finally broke down and had TruGreen come out and get our yard in shape.  It's been about a year and a half and our yard looks amazing.  It was expensive, but our yard looks great.  I am hoping that we can stop the service soon and keep it up ourselves.
