P90X???

What's this program all about? I've tried EVERYTHING and everytime I try to do something at home, it doesn't work. I always get really distracted! I've heard so much about this program so I thought it was worth a try to ask.

  • I don't know much about it myself, but have heard people on the Nest and IRL rave about it.  I have tried the 30 Day Shred with Jillian Michaels and its kind of an ass kicking, I was pretty sore the first few times.  I alternated it with pure cardio for variation.  (And should start that up again).  30 DS is available for free if you have OnDemand or you could try it at the library.

    I know others on this board have used it, jcam, if I remember correctly had beef with one of the "lazy" trainers on the video, lol!

  • One of my friends tried it.

    She is an focused athlete.  She has run marathons, and is doing her first half ironman this fall.  She  and I used to do triathlons together when she lived in this area.

    She told me this  is one of the most challenging workouts she's ever done and actually said she's never sweat so much in one workout.

    Sounds kick ass to me!

  • I'm doing it right now and it does kick your butt! The first few weeks I was soooo sore, but now that I've been doing it for about 6 weeks, the soreness has gone down.

    I do like that it's different exercises throughout the week, so you don't get bored. I definitely sweat too, especially Kenpo X and Back & Biceps. The only one I don't like is Yoga X. It's 93 minutes long and it's tough. I just do the Stretch X instead Stick out tongue.

    And I'm definitely seeing results.
