Britax price ?
I was wondering how much I should be looking to spend for the Britax Marathon. I remember you girls finding "good deals" but have no idea what price point to be happy with. It looks like they're normally about $280, and I found a pattern I like for $250- is that cheap enough? TIA!

Funny you should ask this today......because I was looking at Albee Baby online to see if they had any good sales going on right now. I bought caroline's marathon from them around this time last year for a great deal and they have that same price ($199.9) on two models right now.......this is probably the best deal you will see on a Marathon plus it is free shipping so I would scoop one up if you need one!!! They are neutral colors too, which is nice.

Oh, I'm sorry..... I just realized those were ROUNDABOUTS (the smaller model) and not MARATHONS. They do have a purple marathon for $229.99 which is pretty good!

We actually do have roundabouts in DHs car. He drives a two door Honda civic and the marathon just doesn't fit. The weight limits are lower on the roundabout than they are on the marathon, though, and so you can't rear-face a child as long in one of those as you can in the marathon. For instance, Jakob rear-faced in his Marathon up until he was 2 - long after we had to turn around the roundabout for him in Daddy's car!
Other than the size and how long you can use them factors, they are basically the same seat, though!
I have marathons and I love them. I got Molly's marathon on clearance w/ a coupon and using a GC, got it for $200.
Stay strong, Britaxs should go on sale next month ( they do sales twice a year, IIRC). If you can hold out a few more weeks, do it.
