DH's Aunt is in town and tonight is her last night.
What are some things we could do? Yesterday, we went to Gilbert, showed her the house we have the offer on and ate at Grimaldi's and on Monday, we went to BJ's for dinner.
I want to do something fun but can't think of anything.
TIA!
Re: Help
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
It doesn't have to be in Gilbert...we currently live in Tempe so anywhere really...I just want something fun! lol
How about dinner at The Farm at South Mountain? My Grandma is coming in a few weeks and I was looking at taking her there. Before you eat, you could drive up South Mountain to watch the sunset over the valley.
Otherwise, Joe's Farm Grill in Gilbert is neat. Compass at the Hyatt Downtown is pretty cool- the restaurant is at the top of the hotel and rotates, so you have an view of the entire city (although, I think it might be a little pricey). Lon's at the Hermosa Inn is a great place to eat dinner outside and watch the sunset.
If you want to do something very Arizona-like, we take guests up to Cave Creek for a real old west feel (not as cheesy as Rawhide). Greasewood Flats (in N. Scottsdale) or San Tan Flats (in Queen Creek) are fun cowboy type outdoor restaurants.
dinner/drinks and mini golf!
might not be a good idea for you but i love me some mini golf
You always have great ideas!!! Thanks...I'm going to google them all! hehe
Oh, I LOVE mini golf....DH on the other hand doesn't really because he likes real golf so he thinks mini golf is wack! haha
MMMMMMMM I love ice cream. That's one thing I'm very disappointed in Arizona.......there aren't very many ice cream places except Cold Stone and Dairy Queen. I want real, normal ice cream! lol
I'm no help but I agree with you on this.... There were so many Ice Cream places back east... With homemade hard icecream... Here, im finding either I spend a fortune at Coldstone or have some lame-O dairy queen... its annoying lol
Have you guys got ice cream from the Water N Ice stores? We go there because they carry the old Thrifty's ice cream that we grew up on- it's soooo good! It's not homemade, but I like it better than Coldstone or Dairy Queen (and it's way cheaper).
I looooooooooove thriftys. my dad used to take me every friday after we had pizza. I wish the store was still up, it was just a few miles from my house!
