My cousin and his wife went to Taiwan last week to finally pick up their son!! I doubt many of you remember my post a few months back about this, but my cousins have been in the adoption process for over a year.
Last Fall their adoption was approved and Ethan was assigned to them. However, they still had to wait for the remaining paperwork to go through which took many months. They finally flew out there on Easter Sunday and are now FINALLY home with their new son.
I am so so happy and touched by their story. I seriously cannot look at a picture of them finally holding him without crying. Please pray for them as they settle in as a new family of 3!
Here is a pic
This is them meeting him for the first time at the orphanage:

I will try to keep you guys updated! They had a blog for a while to help them fundraise and update everyone on the adoption status, but they haven't updated it for a long time. I hope they start updating it again. I know they are going to be the best parents!
This whole thing has opened me up to adoption as well. It's such an amazing thing to do. Eeek I can't wait to meet him!
Awww Michi that's awesome! They look so happy in the picture. He's adorable. The whole process must have been such an emotional rollercoaster for them I'm sure they are relieved to finally have their baby boy!
Michi, that is so wonderful! They must be over the moon. And he is sooooo adorable! It is fantastic that they can now begin their life as a family.
On a side note, our Benjamin is half Taiwanese since DH is 100%. We have many relatives in Taiwan. It's good to know that the adoption process there is still going strong.
Congratulations!
How cool that Benjamin is half Taiwanese! This is the orphanage they adopted from:

They are a Christian organization and my cousins actually know a few people that have adopted from there. The place seems really awesome and they really take great care of the babies. There are always missionaries there from the US and all over volunteering and helping out. One of the missionaries has actually become friends with my cousin and is going to visit Ethan soon. It's really neat since she took care of him in Taiwan .
