I'm in Zone 7 and looking for color in full sun with a long bloom time. I love daylilies and wonder if you guys think this is a good bet.
They bloom all summer, right?
Any negatives I should know about daylilies?
TIA!
One beautiful toddler and one beautiful baby.

Dr Loretta - thanks for the tip.
I just opened your blog - - - congrats on your beautiful daughter! Where in the Poconos are you? I'm in NJ and used to go to honesdale/hwley area in my youth! is that considered poconos?
The flower lasts for a day and then it fades. There are reblooming varieties of daylilies. Most common - Happy Returns and Stella d' Oro.
There is a daylily grower in TN - Oakes Daylilies - that has several vareities. They have a section of rebloomers as well. The prices are fairly reasonable. You can get 3 Happy Returns for $21.
