Already looking towards the weekend

I've been looking forward to the weekend since Tuesday!

I don't have a lot going on, but the plan is to get my shop up and running on Monday, since I have the day off.  There are a couple potential snags that could take a few more days, but it's so close I can taste it!

 

Also, congrats on the "Bronze Poster" status.

YIPPEE ULTRASOUND!!!!

My friend and her BF are visiting us this weekend, so happy hour tomorrow night, followed by seeing a band, followed by something hilarious to be determined! It's always fun when she's around. The bad part is that DH will be back in SF for a follow-up interview (yay for him, boo for me and my possible ovulation while he's gone) from Saturday through Monday. I hate when he's gone.

I'm pretty sure DH and I are doing nothing... which is good from time to time, but sometimes it's kind of boring too.   I find it hard not to go out and spend money on the weekends if we have nothing else do to.  That sucks.

I didn't notice either!  Scary to think I have had 500 things to say!

And yes, yay to the ultrasound-  It was such a beautiful experience seeing our baby dancing around in my belly!  So full of life (literally)!

My plans for the weekend... Full of sad and happy events. 

Sunday, my H and I are becoming the godparents of our dear friend's little girl.  We feel so honored and look forward to being role models in her life. 

Saturday we are attending a friend's funeral.  She died of cancer at 34 years old just last week.  My H and her H have been friends since high school and the loss of this woman in everyone's lives is heartbreaking.  She had been battling cancer for years and was really suffering at the end.  I feel relief that she is finally at peace.

Oi, sorry to hear about your friend, Nicole.  That's hard.  T's and P's!

Not looking forward to this weekend so much.... we're going to the in-laws and painting their ceiling. Of their entire house.

Trying to see the silver lining in it but we're doing more of our sidewalk paver work this weekend.  It is all the heavy lifting/leveling/futzing stuff (we have fieldstone pavers so they are irregular in size and thickness and we have to really tinker with them to get them level!)  I am going to be so sore by Sunday night - but the good part is that once we get the stuff in the ground, it is not in my garage anymore and I can *gasp* Park my car in there!!

We are headed to NYC in the am (look out Kel!), then a mad dash to drop our bags off at our hotel before heading to the MoMA. I can't wait, but I'm not looking forward to getting up and to the metro at 6 to get to Chinatown to get the Bolt bus at 7...yuck yuck yuck...but it will be worth it. I have had SO much trouble getting out of bed the past few weeks.

I have to work Saturday evening which I hate because working on the weekend sucks bad enough as it is let alone working until midnight on the weekend! But after that I am off for a week. Oh yeah, oh yeah!

DH is going deep sea fishing with his buddies, so I'm probably going to spend a lot of time in lab trying to get caught up. I'm kinda sad DH is leaving this weekend though... it's like THE weekend to be in Atlanta. There is a beer festival, and the dogwood festival, and all these fun things that we usually do together... I'll probably go with some friends though. And get shiitfaced

Tomorrow night: grocery shopping, sandwiches out and maybe a load of laundry.

Saturday: breakfast, outdoor work around the house, laundry and dinner with my folks.

Sunday: apply for jobs and lounge around the house.  If I can find a good price on turkey breast we'll have that for supper so we can enjoy leftovers next week.

Nicole- I'm really sorry about DH's friend, that's so sad!  But I LOVE your ultrasound pic...little dancing baby you...hehe...I want an ultrasound pic...

Angela- Your weekend is like my dream weekend, I am so bitter and jealous at the same time!  Awesome weekend!

I have no plans, and I love it!  My DH is home AND off work so we may have date night, see a movie, lounge.  You know....
