We bought a sectional from Haverty's about 5 months ago and one piece has already started creaking. The same side has had issues with sagging cushions from the start, so guess there was an issue in the assembly. They are coming tomorrow to check out the piece and we're planning to ask them to replace the whole thing so as not to run into issues with dye lots and uneven wear. Is this silly or do you think that's a reasonable request?
Also, the current configuration is slightly longer on one side than the other, and as such the cushions are not interchangeable between the two sides (which is proving to be a problem with our cats that insist on laying on the backs). We are considering having them replace it with one from the same line that is equal length so everything can be reversed, flipped, and moved around to keep wear even. I've never seen a sectional that was not L shaped. Will it look odd or too "square"?
TIA for any opinions
Re: Sectional question/exchanging furniture
Hopefully they'll just offer, but I did see where a couple people had reviewed pieces on their site and said they had to have "one side" replaced. I don't know if that was their choice or the offer made by the company so I'm preparing myself just in case I have to insist.
Thanks for your input!

We just bought a new sectional ( and had problems with ours initially too), and it is more of a square shape. I think one side is longer, but just barely. A square shape was the only size that would fit in our space. I think it looks fine, well I hope so anyway.
We bought the Amalfi - we love the way it looks and the fabric is great. It's gotten tons of great reviews on the site, so I don't know that our experience is a common one. I wish the box cushions were semi-attached so the cats couldn't trample them, but we had no luck finding something in our style and price with attached cushions so we fluff everyday
They did come out this morning and I've got to say I'm a disappointed. The guy sat all over the sofa and agreed that the cushions on one side weren't the same consistency. He offered to order new ones. But as far as the creaking in the back he said "well that's one of those things we'll need to wait until it gets worse to see what's going on there. You've got a year so we'll see what happens". Really? I informed him that my outlet cheapo sofa didn't start creaking until I'd had it for 5 years and moved it to 4 different homes and that if this one is creaking already that I'm very concerned that after that one year mark I'd be stuck with a broken sofa. He just said he would note the account with my concerns and customer service would contact us.
