Pre-K/Daycare Recs in WNY

My husband and I are adopting a little boy (he's right around 3). Needless to say, we received a referral about 6+ months sooner than we thought we would and I am now in freak out mode! We are looking more for a pre-k type program - maybe 2 or 3 days a week for a few hours or even a daycare where we can take him for 2-3 days a week. Just wondering if anyone has any recs for pre-k's or daycares in the Buffalo area (specifically in the T/NT/Amherst/Williamsville/Wheatfield type areas. TIA!

Re: Pre-K/Daycare Recs in WNY

  • congrats on the adoption!  Have you looked at the office of child and family services? they list all the daycares county by county plus if there are any violations.  I looked at a lot of daycares.  If my son didn't go to the in home he is in now He would be at Amherst baby and child on Millersport.  Feel free to come to the local bump board with any baby/child questions.  Tht is where most of the moms hang out.
  • Congrats on your adoption- how wonderful!

I can highly recommend The Little Red Schoolhouse on Harris Hill in Clarence.  They are fantastic and have half day options as well as a few days a week vs a full week.  The mornings are structured like a pre-school and the afternoons are more like daycare.  They are pricey though.
