Do you visit amusement parks during the spring/summer? Do you get a pass for unlimited entry? What's your favorite amusement park? What's your most visited?
Re: 4/16 Amusement Parks
When I was younger, we would make one trip to Kennywood (it's a local theme park in Pittsburgh) every summer. Also, our last two summers of college DH and I went to Kennywood. My family took a vacation every summer as well and we've been to Geauga Lake, 6 Flags, and Disney World (all the parks and Universal).
Last year we got a season pass for Carowinds and LOVED it! We just bought our passes for this year. It's nice because sometimes we just go for the rides and sometimes we just go for the water park. We have tons of fun! We're thinking of going tomorrow, but the weather's saying rain =/.
I had tons of fun when we visited Disney and would love to go back someday, but I don't know if it's my favorite. I just love them all lol.
Nope never. I am not a ride person. I am actually petrified of roller coasters and rides like that. We went to Carowinds 2 years ago and I went on a ride with my 5 yr old niece. The whole time on line I kept asking her a million times "It's not a roller coaster is it? (it was an indoor ride so I couldn't see it). It doesn't go upside down does it?" Poor Sophia rolled her 5 yr old eyes and sighed and said "No TT it's not so stop asking me that" LOL.
Went to Disney and went on Testtrack and almost had an anxiety attack when you crashed thru the doors and went around the track outside. I swear I thought I was on a roller coaster- I was not happy.
I really like rollercoasters. DH does not. I spent two summers in college working at Cedar Point which has won the award for Best Amusement Park 12 years in a row. It has more coasters than any other amusement park.
Now though, I've kind of grown tired of amusement parks. I guess it's just part of the aging process. The sun, the heat, the kids whose parents have never disciplined them, the yucky smells... Amusement parks just don't do it for me anymore. I don't avoid them at all, but I would not ever consider getting a season pass at this stage in my life. I'd much rather spend a day in a park, at a concert, and at a nice dinner with my DH than riding coasters all day. Maybe when we have kids and they are older though i would do it for them.
