Anyone have a guide for how much space plants need?

I'm taking stock of the pots have versus what I need for veggies (first year for those).  Any good websites for planter sizing?

It depends on how big that particular plant gets.

  • The packet of seeds or tag on the plant will tell you the spacing requirements of that plant.

Yes, I realize that.  I should have been more specific.  What I'm looking for is a guide that tells you what size container you need for different types of plants.

Sorry. I'm not aware of any such publication. But as the pp said, *most* of the time it's on the plant/seeds.

  • This http://www.ca.uky.edu/agc/pubs/id/id128/id128.pdf is a fabulous resource and I'm pretty sure has the answer to the question you are asking in chart form.
