  • I'm no help but I hope someone can take her home!

  • That is so sad. :( My mom has some contacts with various rescue groups, but I'm not sure if she has ever worked with a pit rescue group. She mainly does work for GRR (gold ribbon rescue for golden retrievers), but I will ask if she knows anyone you could contact.

There are 2 no-kill shelters in SA that I know of. The first is Animal Defense League: http://www.adltexas.org/  I've visited a few times when looking for a dog to adopt, and they seem to take pretty good care of the dogs there.

The other is called Animal Friends: http://animalfriendsforever.org/   My mom used to volunteer at their old location. It was kind of a mess then, but I'm hoping the new location is better.

I know finding a home would be the best option, but in case you can't find anyone and just need a place for the dog to go, these are at least options where the dog wouldn't be put down.
